Nov. 7: Quartet of the Native Plant Society at Cal State Domiguez Hills. 7:30PM. Free. Improvisation led by Jonathon Grasse (guitar) with Sean Sonderegger (reeds), Devin Pruden (drums), and me.
Nov. 17: The Soapbox at the Industry Cafe & Jazz, Culver City. 6:30-9PM. “Jazz.” No cover. Buy food.
Dec. 2: Santa Monica Symphony at John Adams Middle School. 7:30PM. Free, but reserve in advance – a sellout is likely.
Dec. 9: Soundwaves: improvising with Cathy Milliken, founding oboist of Ensemble Modern, and TBD. 3:30PM. Santa Monica Public Library, free.
Dec. 15: The Soapbox at the Industry Cafe & Jazz, Culver City. 6:30-9PM. More “jazz.” Still no cover. Buy food again; you liked it last time!
Dec. 17: West Coast Chamber Jazz Trio at Open Gate Theater Concert Series. 7PM. $10, Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church, Pasadena. Andrea Centazzo (percussion, electronics, compositions), Ellen Burr (flutes), and me.
